What is Bewildered?!

Bewildered is a small, inclusive micro-festival that’s about more than just the line-up. Expect music, creativity, activities and self-expression in a beautiful countryside setting — a place where strangers become friends, and you’re free to be fully yourself. Smaller, stranger and more immersive than the mainstream, it’s a space to explore, connect and wake your more feral self.

What makes it different?

We’re here to put on the best party possible, with as much of it created by the people you’ll meet there. DJs, performers, workshop hosts, artists… it’s a community-built thoughtfully curated experience, not something pre-packaged and shipped in.

We keep things intentionally small so we can shape the kind of atmosphere that makes Bewildered what it is.

What’s the vibe / what are the values?

In short: be sound.

We want this to be a space where people feel safe to express themselves — so kindness, openness and respect are non-negotiable. Look out for each other, be non-judgemental, and if someone needs help, step in (or grab an organiser).

What are Bewildered’s principles?

Our aim is simple – to put on the best party possible with the ambition of having everything you see created by someone you might meet at the festival. We want to create opportunity for people to showcase their creativity and passions. As it stands Bewildered continues to be invite only/by referral event. This is so that we can ensure that we continue to build the experience we want with people who will know will appreciate it. To help do this we’ve outlined some principles and values that we want to encourage across this year’s event.

Access and Animals

Fernhill Farm is a working farm. The event venue is situated away from the party, but we ask in addition to avoid them where possible. Please don’t go wandering through any fields with animals in them - please see map of our site.

Dogs are not permitted under any circumstances.

The venue will issue a £25 spot fine if any dog is found onsite. A resident pack of dogs will be the first to let us know if you think it's ok to leave your dog in a vehicle. Please respect our shepherding hounds’ territorial boundaries and our livestock.

Fireworks are strictly prohibited.

What about consent?

Don’t be a creep.

Make sure your actions don’t make others uncomfortable. Respect boundaries at all times. No means no. If anything feels off, speak to the team and we’ll deal with it. Anyone crossing the line can and will be removed.

Do I need a ticket?

Yes. This is a crowdfunded event — it only happens because people buy tickets.

We don’t have big sponsors or big budgets, so please don’t try to sneak in or bypass the system. There will be checks on the gate.

This is an 18+ event, ID may be required.

Respect each other

Be nice and help your fellow attendees! Be sympathetic to the fact that people will be likely be different states of mind across the weekend. Be kind, non-judgemental and compassionate. If you see anyone who looks like they might need a hand with anything and you can’t help yourself, please talk to one of our organisers and we will make sure they’re looked after. We will have a welfare space for people who need it.

Are there any rules about the site?

We’re lucky to be using this land — please help us look after it.

Take your rubbish home or use the bins provided, keep your camp tidy, and leave no trace. Cigarette butts – please bin or you’ll get your eyebrows shaved.

Can I bring my dog?

No — it’s a working farm and there are animals on site. Please also avoid wandering into fields with livestock, and note that fireworks are strictly prohibited

What about health and safety?

Look after yourself.

Eat properly, drink water, get some sleep (even if it’s just a bit), and know your limits. There will be first aid kits and designated first aiders on site if needed.

What if someone needs help?

We’ll have a welfare space and a team of organisers around all weekend.

If you or someone else needs support, please come and find us — we’ve got you.

Who is Bewildered for?

For anyone ready to step into something a little wilder. The curious, the creative, the slightly feral — all welcome.

Just one rule: it’s 18+ only.

What about recycling?

We request all our visitors use the recycling bins provided and separate waste according to the colour coded bins. When these bins are full and before you leave, all recycling bins need to be emptied into the main collection centre, located opposite the farm shop and conveniently on your way off site. Please follow our policy of “leave no trace”.

Smoking?

Smoking is prohibited inside any of the buildings, and we encourage all smokers to congregate around the outside fires and extinguish their cigarette butts in the fire pit or bins provided outside.

Can we have our own camp fires?

Fires on the ground are strictly prohibited.
